Principal's Message
Greetings to Penguin Families, Both Present and Prospective,
Welcome to Penguin Land! I am proud to share that Annabel C. Perry PreK-8 maintained a “B” rating from the Florida Department of Education last school year. This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and collaboration of our incredible students, teachers, and parents.
It is truly an honor and privilege to serve as the PROUD Principal of Annabel C. Perry PreK-8. As I enter my 26th year in education and my 21st year serving the Miramar community I am thrilled to continue this journey as a principal in the Miramar Zone.
We remain deeply committed to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). This prestigious program empowers our students to become inquisitive, thoughtful, and globally minded learners who actively explore and engage with the world around them.
Our theme this year, “Destination: Success – Where Learning Takes Flight!”, reflects our shared commitment to helping every child soar to new heights. Just like a well-planned journey, success in learning begins with strong partnerships, clear direction, and a supportive crew—and that includes you!
As we embark on this exciting adventure together, we are focused on:
- Creating a safe and nurturing environment where every student feels valued and inspired.
- Fostering curiosity and creativity through engaging, high-quality instruction.
- Building strong connections between home and school to support each child’s unique path.
Our dedicated faculty and staff continue to work collaboratively to ensure we provide high-quality instruction in a safe and supportive learning environment for every child.
As your PROUD Principal, I strongly encourage all families to stay actively involved in their child’s daily learning. Here are a few ways you can support your child’s success:
- Communicate regularly with your child’s teacher.
- Monitor academic progress through available platforms.
- Volunteer your time and talents.
- Attend Parent Nights and school events.
- Join our monthly School Advisory Council (SAC), School Advisory Forum (SAF) meetings, and our Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) Meetings.
